Jobcentre Plus services
If you are aged 60 or over and receiving Pension Credit, Jobcentre Plus has a number of programs to help you find work.
All Jobcentre Plus services are available. For example New Deal 50 plus offers one-to-one help with looking for work from a New Deal Personal Advisor at a Jobcentre or Jobcentre Plus office. You may also be eligible for the 50 plus element of the Working Tax Credit when you start work or become self-employed, and an in-work Training Grant of up to £1,500.
The Work-Based Learning for Adults programme is for people who want to improve their skills or add new skills to help them find a job. Contact your local Jobcentre or Jobcentre Plus office to find out more.
