93 years of gardening

Jim Webber, 104, has decided to retire after an incredible 93 years of working as a gardener in Dorset.

Jim started working at age 11 as a farm hand and worked until 1975 on farms. He then retired, but after a short period returned to a new career as a general gardener. Now after 32 years in his new career he has decided to hang up his tools and take a well earned rest.

Jim has only decided to retire as he suffers a small amount of arthritis in his knees. He would be carrying on if he felt he could offer his clients the service they have come to expect.
