Silver Surfer Week 2006 - learn to surf the internet
Silver Surfer Week this year runs from 22 to 26 May. You can learn about computers and have a go at surfing the internet. Events will be held across the UK.
Silver Surfer events
To make the most of the internet, you'll need basic computer skills and
if you haven’t already got those then there are events that can
help you get started.
Silver Surfer Week provides local computer and internet training events if you want to experience first hand the benefits of being connected online.
Learning to use the internet can help you to:
- shop and bank online
- research hobbies or holidays
- make new friends or keep in touch with family
- learn about and manage finances
- access government information and services
