Games to train your brain

Electronic games makers and scientists have joined forces to produce games for older people. Designed to stimulate the brain these games range from challenging players to solve maths problems against the clock to testing hand-eye coordination.

One elderly player commented: "It's good for the brain and we are using our fingers. It's keeping our bodies active."

Some scientific reports have even suggested that the games can help delay dementia, though much more research needs to be carried out to prove a link.

With an ageing population in the UK and an increase in leisure time it seems that games for older people are a trend that is set to grow.
